UPI provides voluntary staff health checks to staff in further commitment to growing people’s potential through healthier lifestyles

This week United Pacific Industries staff members had the opportunity to be involved in private workplace health tests from experienced Engage Health Director Sally Cumming. Sally, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Certified Mindfulness practitioner, conducted 30 minute private and confidential health checks for employees which included looking at the following areas:

  • Risk factors for cardiovascular disease and type II diabetes
  • Goal setting
  • Lipid analysis (total cholesterol, HDL)
  • Glucose
  • Resting blood pressure
  • Body composition (including body fat %, weight, waist measurement, waist to hip ratio, visceral (internal) fat
  • Metabolic Age
  • Hydration
  • Activity level
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Smoking status
  • Psychological well being markers / sleep / stress
  • Referral to GP / specialist
  • Screening habits (GP checks, specialist, skin cancer checks)

Participants were excited to hear of ways in which they could make small changes to their daily routines, which would lead to real positive differences, such as having more energy and feeling more vibrant throughout the day.

This is another commitment to embedding the UPI vision of growing people’s potential through healthier lifestyles.
